The disappearing comma after seizures
Originally numbered article I, section 18, this section has never been amended.
The Legislative Assembly publishes the constitution showing this section without a comma after the word seizures: https://www.legis.nd.gov/constit/a01.pdf.
The 1889 original draft constitution does not appear to include a comma after the word seizures. https://www.ndconst.org/_media/conv/1889_draft_constitution.pdf#page=6
The constitution as published in the Bismarck newspaper prior to ratification by the voters included a comma.
But the 1890, 1901,and 1919 Legislative manuals all show a comma after the word seizures, as does a 1914 bound publication of the constitution.
The bound volumes of the Revised Code of 1943 dot include the comma.
